The Senior Accountant plays a vital part in the company's financial management and is responsible for ensuring that accounts and financial records meet established standards and criteria.
As the financial backbone of the company, s/he will have both an immediate and lasting impact on all company operations, helping us to strategize savings, perform impactful audits, and empower leadership's decision-making processes.
Requirements:
Responsible for maintaining the general ledger to ensure effectiveness and accuracy of all accounting processes that align with company objectives Summarizes financial status by collecting information and preparing financial statements consistent with generally acceptable accounting principles (GAAP) o Analyze financial records and reports, financial position/budget variance to determine trends, estimates and significant changes o Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies and irregularities Prepares and recording asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information Ensures all financial reporting deadlines are met Reconciles Balance Sheet accounts monthly, resolve issues timely, and ensure balances are properly supported and explained Maintain and reconciles fixed assets schedules Conduct month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to verity all entries have been created and posted, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and cohesiveness of information o Establish and monitor the implementation and maintenance of internal controls procedures, including risk assessments and reviews of risk areas Assist to develop processes and procedures to enhance the departments operations and workflow Prepare Ad Hoc Analyses and special projects as assigned QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS Requires BS/BA degree in Accounting, CPA preferred but not required Minimum of 3
years of accounting experience High proficiency in MS Excel (including Pivot Tables and Lookups and other advanced formulas) Healthcare experience preferred Experience working with a complex accounting structure with multiple legal entities and locations with a significant number of allocations Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information Excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all levels of an organization Ability to work under pressure and prioritize/complete tasks and manage multiple assignments/deadlines Attention to detail and accuracy Capable of working independently o NetSuite and Paylocity experience preferredPI227192725 Recommended Skills Attention To Detail Auditing Balance Sheet Communication Confidentiality Decision Making Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
